Miles Midnight at The Rookery

Miles Midnight -- the band I shot some promo pictures for back in January -- played their first-ever live show last night at a relatively new venue in DC called The Rookery. While rolling through an album's worth of original material, the band mixed in some solid covers, including MGMT's "Kids" and a mash-up of Cypress Hill's "Insane in the Brain" with the Fine Young Cannibals' "She Drives Me Crazy."

Despite some very difficult lighting conditions -- 9 out of 10 shots I took were way too blurry to even consider editing -- I think the overall set turned out pretty well. Below are a few of my favorites and, as always, the rest can be found on Flickr.

You can check out Miles Midnight's tunes on MySpace.

Nice work, even in the poor lighting conditions. Looks like this live music work is becoming your thing!
