MJLvideo: Skateboarding at Freedom Plaza

After a disgustingly rainy Saturday, Mother Nature redeemed herself yesterday by treating our Nation's capital to an absolutely gorgeous end to the weekend. After a delicious brunch at the apartment, I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and wander a bit through the city.

After walking by the White House and back downtown, I stumbled upon a large group of skateboarders at Freedom Plaza... a perfect opportunity, I thought, to test out the video capabilities of the new D300s.

It's been a while since I've done any editing, and after testing about 20 different configurations, I still have yet to find the perfect combination of compressing audio and video. Either the audio works well and the video is slightly choppy -- as is evident in the video below, specifically with the transitions -- or the video is crystal clear and the audio is off.

Back to the drawing board, I guess... but in the meantime, enjoy the short clip.

I assume this was taken with the 300s?
